The History of the Chinese Hotpot
The Chongqing is a large city in south-west of China, known for its spicy soup. This iconic red-hot soup consist of more than 20 spices and chili, and is known to be fiery hot. Unlike many other Chinese dishes, the Chongqing hotpot is relatively new, as it is said it was invented in the early 20th century by port workers which tried to warm themselves with the spicy hot soup.
